China imports in September 2016 compared to September 2015 increased in volumes for:

  • Whey Powder (+25.1%)
  • Milk and cream (+8.8%)
  • Cheese (+7.0%)
  • Infant milk formula (+0.9%)

decreased for:

  • Butter (-16.8%)
  • WMP (-46.5%)
  • SMP (-51.2%)

The main Exporters of Cheese in the first 9 months of 2016 (year over year) were:

  • New Zealand export, accounting for 52% of market share, increased by 36.4%
  • Australia export, accounting for 21% of market share, increased by 40.7%
  • United States export, accounting for 9% of market share, decreased by 27.1%
  • France export, accounting for 4% of market share, increased by 97.2%
  • Denmark export, accounting for 3% of market share, increased by 5.7%

The main Exporters of WMP in the first 9 months of 2016 (year over year) were:

  • New Zealand export, accounting for 94% of market share, increased by 16.1%
  • Australia export, accounting for 2% of market share, increased by 200.3%
  • Uruguay export, accounting for 1% of market share, increased by 450%
  • France export, accounting for 1% of market share, increased by 31.5%
