US cheese import does not stop growing

United States imports in April 2016 compared to April 2015 increased in volumes for:

  • Whey Powder (+41.3%)
  • Cheese (+2.2%)

decreased for:

  • WMP (-7.9%)
  • Butter (-9.2%)
  • Condensed Milk (-14.8%)
  • Caseinates (-25.4%)
  • Casein (-30.6%)

The main Exporters of Cheese in the first 4 months of 2016 (year over year) were:

  • Italy export, accounting for 16% of market share, increased by 6.4%
  • New Zealand export, accounting for 13% of market share, increased by 150.7%
  • France export, accounting for 10% of market share, increased by 9.2%
  • Lithuania export, accounting for 8% of market share, increased by 226.3%
  • Spain export, accounting for 5% of market share, decreased by 11.4%
