China’s imports of milk powder drop further

China imports in October 2015 compared to October 2014 increased in volumes for Butter (+55.8%), Bulk and pack. milk (+49.1%), Infant milk formula (+47.7%), Cheese (+23.3%), Whey Powder (+10.3%) while decreased for WMP (-24.1%), SMP (-49.9%).

The main Exporters of WMP in the first 10 months of 2015 (year over year) were

  • New Zealand export, accounting for 97% of market share, decreased by 48.6%
  • Australia export, accounting for 1% of market share, decreased by 79.2%

The main Exporters of SMP in the first 10 months of 2015 (year over year) were:

  • New Zealand export, accounting for 57% of market share, decreased by 1.3%
  • United States export, accounting for 11% of market share, decreased by 59.7%
