The U.S. Department of Agriculture, in the WASDE report of November 2014, confirms for the season 2014-15 the estimates for a record global production both for Corn (990.32 Mio t) and Soybean (312.06 Mio t).
Projections reflect higher Corn production in the EU (+2 Mio t), in Ukraine (+2 Mio t) and in Mexico (+0.5 Mio t), that offset reductions for the U.S. (-1.7 Mio t), where the national average Corn yield is reduced. On the other hand, is on the rise the average Soybean yield.
U.S. Corn used in ethanol production is projected higher, with a reduction in expected Sorghum use for ethanol, due to higher prices.
Global ending stocks of Corn and Soybeans are confirmed at record levels, respectively of 191 Mio t and 90.28 Mio t.
