Export of main cheese in June 2015 compared to June 2014 increased in volumes for Grated or powered cheeses (+30.2%), Gorgonzola (+16.7%), Asiago, Montasio, Ragusano, Caciocavallo (+6.7%), Grana Padano and Parmigiano Reggiano (+5.7%), Pecorino and Fiore Sardo (+0.2%).
The main importers in the first 6 months of 2015 (year over year) were:
For Grana Padano and Parmigiano Reggiano:
- Germany import – accounting for 21% of market share – decreased by 0.7%
- USA import – accounting for 15% of market share – increased by 33.4%
For Pecorino and Fiore Sardo:
- USA import – accounting for 61% of market share – increased by 9%
- Germany import – accounting for 8% of market share – decreased by 0.3%
For Gorgonzola:
- Germany import – accounting for 24% of market share – increased by 18.3%
- France import – accounting for 20% of market share – increased by 1.5%
