According to August’s WASDE report, the global production for 2014-15 is projected to reach a record both of Corn (985.39 Mio t) and Soybean (304.69 Mio t).
U.S. Corn production for 2014-15 is forecast at 356.43 Mio t, with a corn yield at a record 167.4 bushels per acre ( = 10.63 tons/hectare); EU Corn production is projected at 67.05 Mio t after abundant rainfall and favorable temperatures during July.
Global Ending Stocks of Corn and Soybean are expected to reach record levels, respectively of 182.82 Mio t and 85.62 Mio t.
Since 2006, the share of Ending Stocks of the United States has decreased (from 30% to 24% for Corn, from 25% to 14% for Soybean), while the share of China has increased (from 34% to 43% for Corn, from 2% to 15% for Soybean), as shown in the following chart:
