In the first two months of 2017 U.S. exports of skimmed milk powder (SMP), whey powder and cheese were +17,5% in volume and +18,5 in value ($ 88 milion).
The U.S. exported 100.134 tons of SMP (+19%) and sales improved mainly to Mexico (+15%) and to China (+96% YoY).
Cheese imports were -24,4% in volume and -22,2% in value ($ 46 milion).
Cheese imports from Italy decreased by 15,7%.
United States exports in FEBRUARY 2017 compared to February 2016 increased in volumes for:
- SMP (+26.7%)
- Whey Powder (+22.0%)
- Cheese (+8.2%)
- Milk and cream (+2.1%)
decreased for:
- Infant milk formula (-4.6%)
- Lactose Pharmaceutical (-6.8%)
- Butter (-54.0%)
United States imports in FEBRUARY 2017 compared to February 2016 increased in volumes for:
- Yogurt and buttermilk (+174.1%)
- Casein (+43.9%)
- Caseinates (+37.7%)
- Whey Powder (+9.4%)
- Condensed Milk (+5.2%)
decreased for:
- Butter (-31.2%)
- Cheese (-33.0%)
