VOLUMES:

Australia exports in DECEMBER 2016 compared to December 2015 increased in volumes for:

  • Condensed Milk (+36.6%)
  • Infant milk formula (+11.4%)
  • Cheese (+0.7%)

decreased for:

  • WMP (-2.4%)
  • Liquid milk (-8.0%)
  • SMP (-15.9%)
  • Butter (-27.5%)

UNIT PRICES:

The unit prices of Australia exports in DECEMBER 2016 compared to December 2015 increased for:

  • Butter (+11.6%)
  • SMP (+9.9%)

decreased for:

  • WMP (-0.3%)
  • Condensed Milk (-1.2%)
  • Cheese (-2.7%)
  • Liquid milk (-7.3%)
  • Infant milk formula (-9.8%)

The main Importers of Liquid milk in 2016 (year over year) were:

  • China import, accounting for 37% of market share, increased by 10.5%
  • Singapore import, accounting for 22% of market share, increased by 14.1%
  • Malaysia import, accounting for 8% of market share, increased by 10.7%
  • Hong Kong import, accounting for 8% of market share, increased by 3%
  • Philippines import, accounting for 7% of market share, increased by 89%

The main Importers of Cheese in 2016 (year over year) were:

  • Japan import, accounting for 50% of market share, decreased by 11.8%
  • China import, accounting for 12% of market share, increased by 24.4%
  • Malaysia import, accounting for 5% of market share, increased by 9.7%
  • Korea, South import, accounting for 5% of market share, increased by 6.4%
  • United States import, accounting for 4% of market share, increased by 5.6%
