China’s imports of packed dairy products rise

China imports in September 2015 compared to September 2014 increased in volumes for Infant milk formula (+66.0%), Butter (+48.3%), WMP (+41.8%), Bulk and pack. milk (+25.8%), SMP (+16.3%), Cheese (+12.1%), Whey Powder (+5.9%).

The main Exporters of Bulk and pack. milk in the first 9 months of 2015 (year over year) were:

  • Germany export, accounting for 48% of market share, increased by 34.8%
  • Australia export, accounting for 15% of market share, increased by 52.3%
  • New Zealand export, accounting for 13% of market share, increased by 45.4%
  • France export, accounting for 4% of market share, decreased by 49.6%
  • Italy export, accounting for 4% of market share, increased by 180.1%

The main Exporters of Cheese in the first 9 months of 2015 (y-o-y) were:

  • New Zealand export, accounting for 49% of market share, increased by 23.7%
  • Australia export, accounting for 19% of market share, decreased by 23.1%
  • United States export, accounting for 16% of market share, decreased by 6.6%
  • Denmark export, accounting for 4% of market share, increased by 151.5%
  • Italy export, accounting for 3% of market share, increased by 51.6%
