Grana Padano and Parmigiano Reggiano export increased on a trend basis by 1,2% in volume and by 10,1% in value, despite the strengthening Euro against the U.S. dollar.
Export of Pecorino Romano shows an increase by 27,8% in volume, in the face of a decrease by 10,9% in value.
Sales of bulk cream continued, reaching a growth by 138,3% in the first 6 months of 2017. The main extra-EU purchasing countries were South Korea (+72,6%) and China (+280,3%).
Positive export in June for cheeses. Compared with June 2016, export increased in volume for:
- Pecorino and Fiore Sardo (+46.9%),
- Fresh cheeses incl. mozzarella, cheese and ricotta (+20.9%),
- Grated or powered cheeses (+13.9%),
- Grana Padano and Parmigiano Reggiano (+7.6%)
